Your Belongings and Water Damage
Water damage affects not only the structure of your house but also your belongings. SERVPRO of Denver West understands that your home is more than a structure; your family’s furniture, clothing, keepsakes, and other belongings help transform a house into a home. That's why we take every step necessary to ensure that your belongings are returned to you in the condition they were in before the water damage occurred.
Some water damaged items, such as documents and electronic devices, require special handling and advanced technology to restore. While documents are notoriously fragile once exposed to water, water-exposed electronics can be downright dangerous. We don't recommend attempting to restore such items yourself. Don't take unnecessary risks; leave it to the highly-trained restoration specialists at SERVPRO of Denver West to restore your belongings using tried-and-true expert methods.
Depending on the scope of water damage suffered by your home, SERVPRO of Denver West will implement one or more methods, from dry / wet cleaning to foam, abrasive, or immersion cleaning. Sometimes, a temporary move-out of personal belongings is required to make room to clean, disinfect, remodel, etc. If it comes to this, we'll take note of each and every item that requires removal to ensure that it's returned to you once the process is complete.
A water-damaged home is enough of a burden already. SERVPRO of Denver West gives you peace of mind through our comprehensive restoration services.

Contents Restoration
SERVPRO of Denver West specializes in restoring contents damaged by fire, water, or mold. Our expertise and “restore” versus “replace” mentality can help you save money while preserving precious keepsakes that can’t be replaced. We pretest your contents to determine what items can be restored back to their condition before the water damage. We utilize several methods of cleaning your contents, including the following:
- Dry Cleaning - Used for cleaning light residues or to pre-clean prior to wet cleaning.
- Wet Cleaning - An effective cleaning method for removing moderate to heavy residues.
- Spray and Wipe -Effective for items that can’t withstand wet cleaning.
- Foam Cleaning - Used for upholstery fabrics that might shrink or bleed if wet cleaned.
- Abrasive Cleaning - Involves agitation of the surface being cleaned.
- Immersion Cleaning - Contents are dipped into a bath of the cleaning product.
